Welcome to Leslie’s Bookish Life! Your new favorite place for bookish shenanigans fueled by coffee and a never-ending TBR.

I’m Leslie, but since my favorite people call me Nana, I also go by Bookish Nana.
My hope is that this space becomes your go-to bookish corner of the internet. A place where there’s always coffee or tea waiting, a warm friendly smile, and a shared love of books and reading.
Think of Leslie’s Bookish Life as having a dash of bookstore magic, a sprinkle of library comfort, a generouse helping of cozy coffeehouse atmosphere… all served with a splash of Nana’s signature sass.
I’m a lifelong reader, storyteller, and creative at heart. Before entering my bookish era, I spent years in the food blogging world and became a published cookbook author under my married name. Sharing stories, creating community, and connecting with readers has always been part of who I am, even as the dream itself has changed.
Today, I experience reading differently than I once did. I am legally blind, and as my vision changed, so did my relationship with books. What began as grief over how I used to read, slowly became something unexpected: a rediscovery of reading through audiobooks, eBooks, and accessible formats. The dream didn’t end. It simply evolved.
Leslie’s Bookish Life is the result of that evolution. A cozy, welcoming space celebrating stories, listening, comfort, and the everyday joy of being a reader.
This isn’t just a book review blog. It’s a bookish lifestyle built around the moments reading creates: quiet mornings with coffee, late-night audiobooks, emotional stories that stay with us long after the final chapter, and the simple comfort of knowing we’re not reading alone.
Whether you read with your eyes, your ears, or somewhere in between, you belong here. Now pull up a chair. Nana saved you a seat.
